Woodman gymnasts shine in Florida

BRATTLEBORO -- Woodman Athletics? top gymnasts showcased their routines beside gymnasts from all over the United States and Canada in the annual New Year?s Invitational in Orlando, Fla., this past weekend. The event was hosted by USA Competitions and held at Disney?s Coronado Springs Resort.

Woodman?s level 7?s: Caitlyn Ramsey, Lindsay Rose and Maya Ginsberg rose to the occasion and took 3rd place in the team competition.

Rose, 10, who was coming off a strong performance at Thompson?s Invitational earlier in December, continued to deliver exceptional routines in all four events. She took gold on beam with a 9.3, silver on bars with an 8.725, 4th on vault with a 9.0, and 4th on floor with a 9.0 to secure the bronze in the all-around with a 36.025.

Ramsey, 17, had notable successes on the competition floor as well. She took silver on floor with an 8.8, 5th on beam, and 9th on vault and bars, earning her 7th place in the all-around.

Ginsberg, 13, was a solid performer throughout the competition, placing 4th on vault, bars and floor, and 7th on beam, earning her 5th in the all-around.

Woodman?s sole level 9, 16-year-old Nenah Fitch, placed 4th on bars, 5th on vault and floor, and 6th on beam to secure her 4th place standing in the individual all-around.

The Woodman Athletics Gymnastics Team is coached by Keri Woodman, Amanda Montgomery and Karen Gallivan.

The

girls and all of their teammates will be competing locally in the Green Mountain Invitational, Jan. 22, and the Hip Hop Classic on March 11. Both events will be held at Woodman Athletics in Brattleboro.
